Family Services Program

Family Services offers Family Psycho-education, Family Crisis Intervention, Family Therapy, Couples Therapy, Family Consultation, Skills Training and Supportive Services to loved ones of mentally ill Veterans. The caregiver or support person does not have to be a blood or legal relative to be eligible for services. In addition to work with individual family units, the Family Services Program provides weekly groups for Veterans on the inpatient psychiatric unit (7 South), Veterans in the Building Bridges Program, and a group for Veterans in the Dual Diagnosis and residential Psychosocial Rehab programs. Additionally, an educational support group called Support And Family Education (SAFE) Program is made available to loved ones. The SAFE group is held weekly on 7 North, Thursdays, 10:00 - 11:30 am.
