The Dayton VA Medical Center Grotto Garden welcomes volunteers from The Home Depot Foundation
The Dayton VA Medical Center – On May 15, the Grotto Garden will welcome The Home Depot Foundation as volunteers from 9 Home Depot stores throughout the Miami Valley converge on the Garden for an improvement project.
The team of 60 volunteers will install new pavers along the gravel walk ways, pull weeds, and plant flowers. The work begins at 8am and concludes at 4pm for this $12,000 donated improvement project.
The event was coordinated through Team Depot, The Home Depot Foundation, and the American Veterans Heritage Center and is the 3rd improvement project The Home Depot Foundation has contributed to for the Grotto Garden. In total, the Foundation has contributed over $36,000 in donated items to renovate and reinvigorate the Garden which is used a place of tranquil healing for the Dayton VA Medical Center’s Veteran population.
Media are welcome to attend the event.
