Dayton VAMC Hires New Chief of Public & Community Relations

Effective June 16, 2013, Kimberly Frisco, assumed the role as Chief of Public & Community Relations. In this position, Ms. Frisco will supervise multiple departments at the Dayton VAMC including; Veteran Satisfaction Services, Public Affairs, and Voluntary Services.

The Dayton VAMC is a state of the art medical center that provides care to over 37,000 Veterans a year, with over 6,000 inpatient admission and 192,000 outpatient visits annually. The Dayton VA Medical Center provides a full range of health care through medical, surgical, mental health (inpatient and outpatient), home and community health programs, geriatric (nursing home), physical medicine, therapy services, neurology, oncology, dentistry, and hospice.

Kimberly Frisco began her career at the Dayton VAMC in September of 2008 when she was named the Chief of Veteran Satisfaction Service. In August of 2012, in addition to her responsibilities as Chief of Veteran Satisfaction Services, she was named the Acting Public Affairs Officer. She held both positions until her recent promotion to Chief of Public & Community Relations.

Prior to her healthcare experience at the Dayton VAMC, Kimberly Frisco served on active duty in the United States Air force for 20 years. During her time in the Air Force, Ms. Frisco gained valuable healthcare management experience. Her positions included Director of Officer Recruiting, Director for Health Professions Scholarship and Financial Assistance Program, Senior Administrator of Marketing and Beneficiary Education, and several other positions.

In addition to her vast work experience, Kim Frisco is a member of American College of Healthcare Executives and Disabled American Veterans. Ms. Frisco has received Six Sigma training, VISN 10 Coaching and Mentoring Certification, and graduated from the Leadership Development Institute in February of 2013.

Kimberly Frisco is an extremely talented and qualified individual who understands the importance of providing the best healthcare to those who have served our country.
