New Family Physician for the Lima Community Based Outpatient Clinic

On June 16, the Dayton VAMC hired Dr. Christopher Smith, as the new Family Physician at their Lima Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). Dr. Smith will provide care to eligible Veterans and their immediate families.
Dr. Christopher Smith is an experienced physician, with a prodigious academic background. In 1995, Dr. Smith graduated from The Ohio State University, with a Bachelors in Science in Molecular Genetics. He then attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, where he received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine.
In August of 2000, Dr. Smith began working as a General Surgery Intern at the Naval Medical Center, located in San Diego, California. Following his internship, in August of 2002, he became a US Navy Reserve General Medical Officer, stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. His most recent position was at Haleiwa Family Health Center in Haleiwa, Hawaii. In addition to his academic and professional success, Dr. Christopher Smith, is also a Certified Diplomat Member of the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Christopher Smith is an extremely talented and qualified physician. He has proven with his previous work experience that he enjoys providing care for those who served our country.
