Dayton VA New Chief Nurse for Community Living Center

What: The Dayton VA is pleased to announce the promotion of Marna McCrary, RN, MS as the new Chief Nurse for the Community Living Center. Marna began her VA career in 1998 in the Dayton VA Medical Center subacute unit. Prior to joining the Dayton VA, Marna worked as a nursing assistant at the Saint Elizabeth oncology unit.
During her time serving Dayton Veterans, Marna has worked in the Acute Care unit, the Dialysis unit as a staff nurse, and then as the Nurse Manager of the Dialysis unit. In 2007, Marna became the Nurse Manger of the Medical Rehabilitation/Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit with the Community Living Center. In 2011, she was promoted to Clinical Coordinator of the Community Living Center.
Marna graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996 and obtained a Master’s Degree as a Clincial Nurse Specialist from Wright State University in 2006.
Marna comes from a long line of military Veterans. She says since she began working at the Dayton VA in 1998, she has felt an immedate connection to the medical facility’s mission – serving those who serve us.
