Dayton VA Medical Center, Ohio
Dayton VA to Host Relationship based Care/Unit Practice Council Fair
September 22, 2016
What: DAYTON VA TO HOST RELATIONSHIP BASED CARE/UNIT PRACTICE COUNCIL FAIR
The Dayton VA Medical Center will host a “Relationship Based Care/Unit Practice Council” fair on Thursday, September 22nd, from 10 AM to 3 PM. The fair will take place in the lobby of the Dayton VA Medical Center.
Relationship Based Care (RBC) is the Dayton VA’s guiding principle under which they demonstrate concern for the well-being of our Veterans, of each other as co-workers, and of ourselves – if we are not physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy, it becomes difficult to care for the physical, mental, and emotional health needs of others. Unit Practice Councils (UPC) are our effort to put relationship based care into action – each department at the Dayton VA (and each of our Community Based Outpatient Clinics) has a UPC responsible for finding innovative ways to improve the way we care for our Veterans and for each other.
The RBC/UPC fair will feature more than 40 booths demonstrating the improvements that the UPCs have already made to the way we care for our Veterans and each other, and the UPCs’ plans for the future.
This event is open to the public and to the media.
