What: Dayton, OH - On May 19, 2013, the 13th annual Blessing of the Bikes dedicated to honoring all Veterans will be held at Welcome Stadium. Through the Veterans Cycle program, specially built cycles will be given to local disabled and homeless Veterans to provide mobility and independence. GreeneBucs (the Greene County County Ohio Chapter of AMBUCS) has partnered with the Dayton VA Medical Center's (VAMC) Rehabilitation Department and Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio located on the VA campus. GreeneBucs raised the funds, purchased, assembled, and fitted the trykes to each Veteran's specific needs. Three Veterans from the Dayton VAMC will be receiving bikes at the event.
